1What are the advantages of getting epoxy?
Epoxy coatings offer several advantages, including increased durability, resistance to chemicals and stains, ease of maintenance, and enhanced aesthetics. They also provide a seamless, non-slip surface, making them suitable for various environments.
2Can I transform an existing concrete patio or driveway?
Yes, absolutely - Epoxy can be installed inside and outside, and even on walls.
3How do I fix a flaking (spalling) concrete?
You can do a grind and make sure all loose top coat of concrete is up, and then put an approved self-leveling on and apply epoxy and an overlay on top of the deck level or approved coating.
4Can epoxy be installed outside?
Yes, it can. There are different products for inside and out for epoxy.
5What is the maintenance of concrete?
Stamped concrete should have sealer applied based on use. I highly recommend using a commercial-grade sealer (not a box store brand). The time needed to reapply is dependent on traffic and wear and tear, but a general answer is about every 2-3 years.
6What is the maintenance on epoxy floors?
Epoxy floors are relatively low-maintenance. Regular cleaning with a broom or mop and mild detergent is usually sufficient. For deeper cleaning or to maintain shine, a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft-bristled brush can be used. It's also important to promptly clean spills and consider sealing the floor every few years to enhance durability and appearance, according to some flooring experts.
7How long is my downtime on doing epoxy or a overlay?
Epoxy installations are usually for 1-4 day jobs with about an additional day of cure time.
